On behalf of the people of our diocese, I offer my heartfelt congratulations to Pope Leo XIV. I pledge to pray for and with him as the successor to St. Peter. His first words of greeting to us were a celebration of Our Risen Lord. An echo of the Easter proclamation should shape our prayers and conversations about the new Holy Father.
Pope Leo XIV made God’s love for everyone the heart of his first hello. Together let us be missionaries who support our Pope in his work for justice, peace and unity.
Declaración sobre la elección del Papa León XIV
En nombre de los fieles de nuestra diócesis, extiendo mis más sinceras felicitaciones al Papa León XIV. Me comprometo a orar por él y con él mientras asume el sagrado ministerio de Sucesor de San Pedro.
En sus primeras palabras dirigidas a nosotros, el Papa León XIV proclamó la alegría del Señor Resucitado. Que ese mensaje pascual resuene en nuestras oraciones, en nuestras conversaciones y en nuestra esperanza para la Iglesia.
El Papa León XIV puso el amor de Dios por todos en el centro de su saludo. Unámonos a él como misioneros de ese amor, trabajando juntos por la justicia, la paz y la unidad en todo el mundo.
