Job Title: Pastorate Director of Evangelization (full-time)
Reports To: Pastor
FLSA Status: Exempt
The Pastorate Director of Evangelization will assist the pastor with the pastoral care and planning of the pastorate and is responsible for leading staff and volunteers in the following ministry areas: faith formation (youth and adult), liturgy and music, pastoral care, community outreach, and other parish ministries. The Pastorate Director supports, accompanies, and equips the leaders in these areas to focus their attention into the community at large as they strive to facilitate making disciples of Jesus Christ, building vibrant communities of faith and inspiring men and women to be witnesses of Christ in the world.
Essential Duties:- Works closely with the Missionary Pastor and in collaboration with the Director of Operations to discern the needs of the parish, and plans accordingly for the future of the community.
- Leads and manages those performing pastoral ministry in the parish to strategically accomplish parish mission, build a culture of teamwork, and provide coherency across varied programs.
- Collaborates with counterparts in other pastorates and relevant diocesan offices.
- Establishes, facilitates, and coordinates traditional management activities for those engaged in pastoral ministry, including recruitment, retention, formation, and performance management.
- Utilizes strong background in Catholic Theology to inform decision making.
- Develops the annual budget for ministries within the parish in collaboration with the Director of Operations.
- Fosters an environment of inclusion with multi-cultural and multi-ethnic communities, persons with disabilities, and other groups within the Pastorate and community.
- Exhibits strong supervisory and management skills and fosters teamwork.
- Demonstrates and cultivates well-developed human relationship skills.
- Ensures compliance with Diocesan policies, regulations, and budget guidelines.
- Increases skills and knowledge through continuing education, attending conferences and reading appropriate literature.
- Bi-lingual Spanish and English highly preferred.
Education/Experience:- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with study in Theology, Divinity, Pastoral Studies or equivalent.
- At least three years of experience in parish ministry and/ or management of a non-for profit organization. Proven track record coaching or developing others.
- Three or more years of leadership experience in parish ministry desired.
- Three or more years of leadership/management experience.
- Fully committed to the Catholic Church’s teaching. Mature discipleship evidenced in ability to comfortably witness the faith.
- Comprehensive vision and understanding of evangelization and parish vitality.
- Solid grounding in Catholic identity and the faith tradition.
- Strong ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team among clergy, staff, volunteers, and parish grouping.
- Strong ability to form a community of missionary disciples through encounter, accompaniment, and sending forth.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people from varied social, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds
- Comfortable acting as a catalyst and change agent for defining future strategies and goals. Focuses on delivery and motivating others to reach ambitious goals.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Able to honor & maintain confidentiality.
- Able to pass and maintain Diocesan child safety protocols.

Essential Duties:Collaborates with the communications team on story selection and project management for The Catholic Moment.

Assists with laying out and designing newspaper pages including—the placement and writing of headlines, stories, photos, captions and advertisements for The Catholic Moment. Prepares vibrant, visual layouts for written content.

Strategize the development, implementation and management of diocesan social media campaigns.
Assists in updating the content of the diocesan website.
Assists with advertising and vendor management for The Catholic Moment and diocesan directory.

Summary: Responsible for the successful transition and implementation of the Uniting in Heart 2030 Pastoral Plan into the pastorate and Catholic school structures. This role will provide leadership and resource guidance through direct accompaniment and ongoing relationship building. This role will serve as a coach to pastoral leaders including but not limited to clergy.
- Maintain consistent communication with the pastors and pastorate teams in order to understand their needs, strengths and opportunities for improvement. Build a strong and trustworthy relationship with assigned pastorates by asking questions and practicing active listening skills.
- Travels to diocesan church communities to provide leadership and resource guidance and encouragement to pastors and parish teams as they continue to form their pastorate leadership team, staffs, pastorate pastoral council, and finance council(s).
- Serve as a liaison between the chancery offices and pastorates to communicate the ways they are struggling and where they are succeeding. Coordinate with diocesan offices to assist the pastorates as needed.
Education/Experience:- Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and relevant work experience
- 3-5 years’ professional experience in leadership and organizational management
- Experience in a parish setting or working within ministry preferred
- Experience as a member or working with a parish pastoral or finance council preferred

The Music Director will collaborate on a team directed by the Director of Evangelization to coordinate the music ministry program for St. Mary Parish. Under leadership of the St. Michael Catholic School principal, the director will instruct our K-8 students in music and design and plan the music education curriculum at St. Michael Catholic School. St. Lawrence Catholic School, located on the northeast side of Indianapolis, is seeking a faith-filled and dynamic Principal to begin with the 2026–2027 academic year.
Serving approximately 225 students in Pre-K through 8th grade, St. Lawrence is a diverse, Christ-centered school community dedicated to forming the whole child—mind, heart, and spirit. As a Four-Star School with a nearly 75-year legacy of academic excellence, we are supported by an engaged parish, committed families, and a talented, mission-driven faculty and staff.
The Principal serves as the chief administrator of the school and is responsible for advancing its Catholic mission while ensuring excellence in academics, operations, and community engagement.
Position Responsibilities
The Principal will:- Provide Faith-Based Leadership
- Foster and strengthen the Catholic identity of the school through visible, mission-centered leadership
- Model the teachings and values of the Catholic Church in word and action
- Maintain an active presence in parish and school life
- Lead Academic Excellence
- Oversee curriculum development and implementation aligned with Archdiocesan standards and the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Schools (NSBECS)
- Promote high-quality instruction, student achievement, and continuous improvement through data-informed practices
- Support and Develop Faculty & Staff
- Recruit, hire, and retain qualified faculty and staff
- Provide ongoing supervision, evaluation, and professional development
- Cultivate a collaborative, positive, and mission-driven school culture
- Manage School Operations
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring a safe, effective, and welcoming learning environment
- Work collaboratively with the Pastor and Business Manager on budgeting, financial stewardship, and facilities
- Build Strong Relationships
- Serve as the primary representative of the school to parents, parish leadership, and the broader community
- Foster open communication, trust, and engagement among all stakeholders
Qualifications
Candidates must:- Be a practicing Catholic in good standing, committed to the mission of Catholic education
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to fostering Catholic identity in a school setting
- Possess excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Show a passion for academic excellence and student success
- Have experience in instructional leadership and staff development
- Hold a valid Indiana administrator’s license (or be working toward licensure)
Preferred Qualifications:- Prior school leadership experience
- Experience working in diverse or multicultural school communities
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) ability is a plus
